Started having numerous issues with pc lcd output with this setup: IE crashes, blue screens, reboots. I use the tv as just that, it’s hooked up as a 3rd screen if needed but rarely used, and I rarely watch tv. Been watching some sports lately, though, so it’s been on quite a bit. Using an Abit IP 35 Pro motherboard, an NVidia GeForce GT 430, and an NVidia GeForce 8600 GT. CPU is a quad core intel, with 8gb of ddr2 ram.
Anyway, after a bit of deduction and a bit of guessing, I disconnected the TV from the pc, and connected one lcd to each video card. Problems seem to have immediately gone away. At first I was thinking that having the 2 monitors on one video card was overloading it, but now I’m not so sure it wasn’t having the TV turned on that caused some video problems.
Glad to have the situation resolved, even though I’m not sure exactly what the problem was!
